The Arcline system has been developed to give hire and touring companies a compact system capable of exceeding all their requirements. Its design has been paved out by many years of research into the needs of our ever changing industry.
It was decided early on that a line source with cylindrical wavefront could best serve all the possible requirements placed upon the system. We also went one further and designed all the components wi thin each enclosure to be physically positioned on an arc. This curved baffle arrangement allows for all the components to have a common virtual feed point someway behind the array thus equalising the sound path distance. The benefits are numerous, including constant sound intensity over the stated coverage angles and greater linearity of the near to far field transition point. The normally poor impulse response that is an inherent problem with a line source transmission is also greatly improved by minimising the path length differences and by power tapering carried out in each enclosure.
Arcline can be configured in many different ways depending on the application, but for most its ability to elevate 2 Arcline 6\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s to 2.8 meters into the air from a ground located f lying system is i ts biggest attraction. A system comprising of 4 Arc Subís and 2 Arcline 6 enclosures can be setup in minuets and can replace flown systems that would normally take many people a great deal of time to assemble. For greater coverage the Arcline 6 can be flown in multiples where its adjacent enclosure spacing of between 1 to 10 degrees in 1 degree steps provides maximum setup flexibility. Versatility must be the overriding priority with any new hire stock these days and the Arcline system is as versatile as they come.
